Organisers hail InterMeat's success

European trade show InterMeat was a success, according to organisers.

The Düsseldorf meat fair, which was held between 24 and 27 September in conjunction with InterMopro for the dairy industry, InterCool for the frozen foods industry and hogatec for those interested in technology and design, attracted around 34,000 international trade visitors and 1,500 exhibitors from different companies around the world.

Wilhelm Niedergöker, managing director of show organisers Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, said: "Now it is clear - our concept has paid off. Concurrence of InterMopro/InterCool/InterMeat with hogatec offers our customers effective synergies. In addition to the 30,000 visitors at the food fair trio around 4,000 hogatec visitors used this opportunity to gather information on the latest trends and ranges in the food industry. Those not in Düsseldorf have missed out on a major market opportunity."

René Maillard, director of the Belgian Meat Office said: "The German pork market is decisive for the business in Europe. And this makes InterMeat and absolute must."
