New international Eblex/Bpex website targets export market

 - Published:  18 October, 2011

Eblex and Bpex have launched a new website to help international red meat buyers find products and suppliers.

The website www.eblex-bpex-export.org.uk features an 'exporters directory' with filtered searches to enable suppliers to search by meat type, product type and export market. A cutting guide shows what cuts are available, including red meat purchasing guide and lamb cuts for the halal market.

The website will also provide detailed information on countries where Eblex and Bpex have representatives, using an interactive world map, as well as highlighting countries which possess valid Export Health certificates for red meat. This is aimed at helping exporters identify and target markets and thereby expand their operations worldwide.

Export manager Jean-Pierre Garnier said: “The launch of the website is a major step forward for the Eblex and Bpex export department, championing quality red meat in the global marketplace.”

The site will be translated into French, German, Italian and Spanish.
