Hunt still on for BBC Young Butcher

 - Published:  15 July, 2010

Time is running out for young butchers looking to take the title of BBC’s Chop Idol competition.

Entrants are still being sought for BBC Three’s Young Butcher of the Year 2010, part of its search for the UK’s top young talent in a number of professions.

Last year saw Jim Sutcliffe, of Meridian Meats Family Butchers in Louth, Lincolnshire, take the overall title.

This year sees the BBC once again looking for a true ambassador for the trade, aged between 16 and 25, and up for demonstrating their skills to the UK public.

Those looking to take part in the competition need to apply to youngtalent@bbc.co.uk before 31 July. Or write to: Young Talent of the Year (series 2), Casting Team, Room 4060, BBC Entertainment, Oxford Road, Manchester M60 1SJ.
