Cryovac's Cerani predicts major poultry growth
Poultry delegates from far afield as Kenya, Israel, Finland and Turkey, descended in Paris on 16-17 June to take part in packaging firm Sealed Air Cryovac’s Packforum.
The two day event for retail, foodservice and food processing executives in the poultry sector included talks from a whole host on different suppliers including French poultry company The Gastronome Group, Hungarian meat firm Hersci and the UK’s 2 Sisters Food Group.
Global packaging provider Sealed Air Cryovac also unveiled the latest in poultry sealing and retail display in its exhibition hall including the Cryovac Oven Ease HC2440 ovenable bag.
Luca Cerani, Sealed Air Cryovac sales and marketing vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said: “I think this event right now in 2010 in poultry is very relevant. To be honest I am a little bit envious.
I think you are in the right industry because of the economic trends we have these days, poultry is very popular, becoming more and more popular. It is a source of relatively cheap protein and guess what? Congratulations, you are going to grow by 8-9% in 2015. I don’t think there are many other industries that can claim that trend.”
