DVD offers butchery skills
A new DVD featuring butchery experts aims to pass on valuable skills and raise funds for charity.
Lucas Ingredients has put together the guide on curing bacon, making pies and sausages and creating ready meals. It says the “no-nonsense, down-to-earth delivery”, will be a great training tool for newcomers to the trade and a memory-jogger for experienced butchers.
Steve Derrick, sales development manager for Lucas Ingredients, said: “We’ve brought together four award-winning butchers to demonstrate these key topics: John Mettrick presents curing bacon; Allan Bennett, making sausages; Mark Carr, making pies; and Danny Upson, ready meals.
“They are all very well-respected within the trade and have each won awards and successfully run their own businesses using the products and techniques shown in the DVD.”
