Eblex promo a big hit

A recent Eblex promotion has been hailed its most successful ever, attracting more than 35,000 consumer entries.

Simply Win, which ran for seven weeks until 31 October, encouraged people to choose Quality Standard beef and lamb by offering them the chance to win £5,000, or 100 runner-up prizes of £50.

Packs of Quality Standard beef and lamb carrying promotional labels were on sale in Quality Standard scheme member butcher shops and retailers, while leaflets were available in pubs and restaurants around the country.

To enter, consumers had to send a text, return a postcard or enter online by completing the form on the consumer website, simplybeefandlamb.co.uk. Eight winners received £5,000 from members of the Eblex trade team.

Laura Bishop, marketing executive for Eblex, said: “The promotion has been a huge success. We wanted to incentivise people to choose Quality Standard beef and lamb – and we certainly did that.”
