A lovely gift for a stocking is sweets and there is nothing better than nostalgic sweets for the more senior relatives in the family.

Firm Mrs Bridges has a range of confectionery available, including these Pear Drops. Pink and yellow in colour, the drops have the essence of sweet pears and are coated in a sugar crust. The sweets are sold in 185g Mrs Bridges' distinctively classic jar and, like all the company's preserves and marmalades, the confectionery is claimed to be prepared using the traditional methods.

Based at the family-run company in Arbroath on the east coast of Scotland, Mrs Bridges products are all manufactured with no additives, ensuring tradition as well as a rich flavour is preserved.
