Barber vintage
|
Many people buy a bit of cheese for the Christmas holidays, with Cheddar one of the most popular choices.
Barber's 1833 Vintage Reserve Cheddar is made by the Barber family on Maryland Farm in Ditcheat, Somerset for six generations.
It is described as having a smooth texture, with both sweet and savoury notes, and is suitable for the cheeseboard or simply melted on toast with a dash of Worcester sauce.
Matured for 24 months, the Vintage Reserve Cheddar is produced from cows that are fed a diet of grass and silage and spend as much time in the fields as possible, so that they produce a rich milk, perfect for cheese-making.
