Ultimate sausage showdown

Butchers from across the UK will be competing later this month to take home the ultimate title in sausage making MTJ's Champion of Champions.

Some of the UK's best butchers will be battling it out at Butcher's Hall in London, on 26 October, having already been declared champions in various competitions throughout the UK.

Ed Bedington, editor of MTJ, said: "This is a great competition, which takes the cream of UK sausage making and pitches it head to head to paraphrase Masterchef, sausage making doesn't get any better than this!

"The great thing about Champion of Champions is the boost it can give to the business of the butchers taking part. Both finalists and winners can use their success to increase sausage sales, so I'd like to wish all entrants the best of luck."

Champion of Champions is also usually covered in trade and regional press, providing all entrants with a great PR opportunity.

This year's competition is backed by Bpex, Lucas Ingredients and Viscofan.
