IIS reveals forklift door system
US firm Industrial Insulation Systems (IIS) has launched a patent-pending forklift door system called the Flex-Panel.
Forklift operators can safely drive through the Flex-Panel door system as it is made out of a soft foam core, capable of surviving repeated impacts while still offering very high insulation capacity (R-Value), said the company.
Its lightweight door panels mean less wear and tear on operator and track assemblies and a heated door frame and door gasket eliminate frost build-up around the perimeter of the door. An internal frame is also said to eliminate bowing of the door panel, meaning it won't be damaged, even by the most violent forklift collision, said the firm. IIS added that the hybrid frame is pliable enough to absorb aggressive impacts without sacrificing R-Value.
