Fairfax meadow launches foodservice beef

 - Published:  07 October, 2009

Fairfax Meadow is hoping for success with the launch of a new premium range of beef aimed at the foodservice sector

The company hopes its Casterbridge West Country grain-fed beef, which was launched at a lunch in London, will appeal to high-end foodservice operators.

A spokesman for Fairfax Meadow said the product was aiming for a consistent high quality: "Only English beef, sired from traditional breeds and sourced from selected farms in the six counties of south-west England, is used to produce Casterbridge.

"Animals are selected to our specifications and we have contracts with each of our supplier farmers to ensure that all animals are finished to the required standards."
