AIMS conference offers farm insight

 - Published:  08 October, 2009

The Association of Independent Meat Suppliers' (AIMS) annual conference kicks off this year with the opportunity to visit chairman John Geldard's farm.

Delegates will see his Stabiliser beef suckler herd, Charolais and Lleyn sheep flock, and free-range and barn poultry flock. AIMS' ninth annual conference is at the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal, Cumbria, on Saturday 7 November, with the farm visit and an informal dinner the night before. The conference includes a Q&A session before lunch.

Said policy director Norman Bagley: "This year the conference format will reflect the opportunities and challenges to our sector as we face unprecedented change. This demands a high calibre of presentations for which the AIMS conference is renowned."
