Sheep breeding event competition offer
The QMS Scottish Sheep Strategy is offering the chance for one person from the Scottish sheep industry to participate in a major sheep breeding event.
The strategy is offering one person who is interested in sheep farming, including farmers, students and researchers, the chance to go to the Sheep Breeders Round Table 2009 which will be held at Stratford Upon Avon on 13 - 15 November.
The conference fee, accommodation for the duration of the conference and travel expenses will be paid for up to the value of £200.
QMS livestock development manager Kathy Peebles said: “We’re looking for an engaged and forward thinking person to go to this event, where they’ll get the opportunity to hear from and meet some of the top people working in the sheep industry both in Britain and abroad.”
The Sheep Breeders Round Table is a biennial event and said to be an excellent opportunity to meet with the forward thinkers in the global sheep industry.
People interested in taking part in the competition should forward their contact details and reasons why you should be chosen to attend to this event in no more than 200 words by 5pm 9 October (Friday) 2009 either by e-mail to Rod McKenzie at rod.mckenzie@sheepstrategy.org.uk or by post to The Scottish Sheep Strategy, QMS, The Rural Centre, Ingliston, Newbridge, EH28 8NZ.
