Magician unveiled as celebrity endorser

Dubbed for the week as the, ‘King and Queen of British Sausage Week 2009,’ Daniels and McGee will help to uncover Britain’s most magical banger in a competition involving retailers, butchers and chefs.

Daniels said: “I can’t wait to start tasting the nation’s best bangers! British Sausage Week is a national institution and an event I’m proud to be involved in. Like with a good magic illusion, sausages come in many varieties and I look forward to revealing what makes a really special sausage.”

The week occurs from 2-8 November and celebrities who have endorsed British Sausage Week in previous years include Dickie Bird, Phil Tufnell, Christine Hamilton and Carol Thatcher.

Entries have said to have flooded in for the competition and following feedback from a specialist judging panel, Daniels and McGee will launch their nationwide tour in London on 2 November (Monday). Afterwards they will be heading off to sample sausages from the shortlisted finalists in eight different regions and present the auspicious awards.
