Former Apprentice contestant Syed Ahmed claims he has come up with the world's greenest hand dryer, which could be suitable for meat processor workers.

Ahmed's firm, SA Vortex, has launched the Vortex Hand Dryer, featuring a unique patented spinning air technology that breaks up water droplets on the skin, accelerating drying times.

The Vortex is said to reduce a company's electricity bill and the hi-tech aluminium casing of the dryer is coated with an anti-bacterial layer for hygiene.

The Vortex is also said to be the quietest in its range, operating at a mere 80dB, which is four times quieter than those operating at 90 or 100dB, added Vortex.
