Pesky pest alert for summer
This summer's erratic weather has not just put a dampener on barbecue sales, it is leading to an increased risk of pest infestations.
Workplace equipment provider Slingsby has warned that many pests become more problematic during summer months and regular rainfall can force pests that would usually live outside over the summmer to take refuge inside buildings.
Lee Wright, marketing director at Slingsby says that shop staff should keep an eye out for signs of infestations. Most common pests breed quickly, so the earlier the infestation is discovered, the easier it is to deal with.
"You can identify rodents from droppings and gnawing marks that appear on all types of objects and if you spot ants, flies and other insects, it's essential that you take action straight away," he said.
