The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has published its third progress update on the development of the Scores on the Doors (SotD) scheme for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The Agency said that the UK-wide (SotD) Steering Group was unable to come to a final decision on several points, due to the complexity of the issues and the "polarised views" of its key stakeholders.
The Group was unable to agree a position on how the top tier of the national scheme should be 'mapped'. It also failed to reach a decision on how the concept of 'broad compliance' should be mapped. The Group has therefore referred these issues back to Agency for a decision and has written to stakeholders asking for their views.
