Loma adds to checkweigher line-up
Loma Systems has announced it has launched two additional products to its CW³ range of automatic checkweighers with the CW³ HeavyWeight and the CW³ DragLink.
The CW³ HeavyWeight Checkweigher is designed specifically for heavier food items. Loma said the machine is especially designed for bag or case weighing up to 60kg and can be integrated into high-speed lines, with belt speeds up to 50m/minute. It has the capacity to weigh up to 60ppm.
The machine can handle products up to 850mm long and 600mm wide and is designed with a small footprint to take up as little space as possible. The firm said it has minimised bug-traps, and the bead-blast surface of the machine is water-repellent to stop cleaning solutions settling.
The Loma CW³ DragLink Checkweigher has been designed to help processors with high production packaging lines. Its design, consists of two individual lanes, which weigh products simultaneously controlling both lanes from a single panel. It can work at belt speeds up to 120m/min and can weigh a wide range of flexible and rigid pack sizes up to 6kg.
