Dalesman expands
The Dalesman Group has announced the completion of a three-quarters-of-a-million pound extension to its business.
The company, which supplies seasoning to the meat industry, has added an extra 7,000sq ft of additional warehousing space to its operation in West Yorkshire.
The extension gives the business an extra 650 pallet spaces and uses state-of-the-art “push-back racking”, taking the company’s total size of its factory and offices to 40,000 sq ft.
Stephen Matthews, general manager, said: “The new factory extension has been planned as part of the continued growth of our company; and demonstrates our commitment to the area and ensuring that we maximise productivity, improve reliability and increase efficiency, meeting customer requirements even more effectively.”
The Dalesman Group, incorporating Gordon Rhodes & Son, Dalesman (Newcastle) and Dalesman (Chesterfield) specialises in producing bespoke blends of sausage, burger, pie, pasty, gravy and sauce mixes, as well as their increasing popular “Country Fayre” range of sausage mixes.
