Black Farmer strikes gold
The Black Farmer is celebrating after judges of the 2009 Great Taste Awards picked the brand's Dry Cured Hickory Smoked Back Bacon to receive one of its coveted Gold Awards.
Celebrating the win, Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones, the Black Farmer, said: “This truly is bacon as it should be: dry-cured by hand; great flavour and a light hickory smoke. I also ensure they are decent-sized slices that don’t shrink when cooked.
"It’s really tremendous to have the endorsement of the Great Taste judges on what has been a hidden treasure and I hope that, as a result, more people will enjoy this delicious bacon,” commented Emmanuel-Jones."
The Black Farmer Hickory Smoked Back Bacon is available in selected Morrisons stores in 180g packs.
