Foodex 2010 event gains speed
Event organisers of Foodex have said that the show has been gaining increasing support across the food and drinks industry since the rebrand in January.
The four-day event in March at the NEC, Birmingham, has support from a number of leading trade associations for the sector including the National Skills Academy for Food & Drink Manufacturing, Campden BRI and the International Agri-Technology Association, which are providing top-level seminar content for the Foodex Business Briefing Theatre.
As well as industry-wide organisations, sector-specific associations, in line with the new ‘@Foodex’ sector branding have also pledged their support for Foodex, including the National Federation of Meat and Food Traders and the British Meat Processors Association (BMPA).
Stuart Roberts, BMPA director, said: “Foodex is a vital event for everyone involved in meat processing and packaging. It is a meeting place for all the key players from the industry and allows the sharing of best-practice and an opportunity to see exciting new innovations for improving efficiency. The BMPA is proud to support Foodex in 2010 and beyond.”
Foodex takes place from 21-24 March 2010 and combines the Food & Drink Logistics Show, the Baking Industry Exhibition, the Food & Drink Expo, the Convenience Retailing Show, Café+@CRS, the Off Licence Show and IFFE, giving visitors a complete overview of the food and drink supply chain.
