The new FLSC -05 Forklift Scale System is claimed to allow operators to capture legal-for-trade weight data easily and quickly on their forklift.

Logistics and transportation market manager Chris McAllister said: "Our forklift truck scale allows organisations to improve efficiency and output, sometimes by as much as two times. An operator can lift, weigh, move and invoice loads without the need to visit a floor scale."

Avery's latest technology consists of a robust weighing scale carriage, a choice of two in-cab indicators and the option of a wi-fi link, which can transfer data to a back office system in real time. Companies can fit the system to any forklift, including triple-masted and stock picking and guided models.

The scale itself can be attached to the forklift's existing carriage and the forks hook onto it. The scale has an open centre area, so the driver can see the fork tips through the centre aperture without obstructing the view.
