Global freezing and chilling equipment firm Starfrost has appointed Edward Turner (pictured) as its new UK sales manager.

Turner's role will be to further develop business across the UK by raising brand awareness and promoting Starfrost's product range.

Turner said: "I was attracted by Starfrost's solid reputation for robust engineering and a customer base that includes major players in the food industry. As part of Star Refrigeration, Starfrost also has the unique ability to offer turnkey freezing and chilling solutions that are truly ground-breaking."

Turner previously spent 22 years in the brewing and soft drinks industry, initially in an engineering role and later in a commercial and teaching position. Before joining Starfrost, he was a UK sales manager in a company in the beverage industry, where he was responsible for increasing turnover from £1.8m to £6m in nine years.

He added: "We are currently embarking on some exciting new product developments and are focusing on innovative concepts to cut energy consumption. This will allow food manufacturers to significantly reduce life-cycle costs."

In addition, Turner will also be looking to strengthen relations with customers old and new and confirming their exact requirements, which will enable Starfrost to continue to develop customer-focused freezing and chilling systems.
