Holland's hosts King

 - Published:  17 August, 2009

A leading pie manufacturer played host to Sainsbury’s chief executive Justin King in recognition of its charity work.

King dropped in on Holland’s Pies, based in Baxenden, Lancashire, to tour the factory and thank the company for their involvement with the grocer’s benevolent fund charity, Caravan.

The visit came as Holland’s is preparing a major re-launch of its new ‘Best Ever’ range, focusing on quality ingredients and traditional recipes.

Neil Court-Johnston, MD of Holland’s Pies commented on the visit: “We were delighted to host Justin here at our factory in Baxenden. Caravan does a lot of important work for former employees of the grocery industry, who may have fallen on hard times, and Holland’s is proud to support the charity.

“Justin’s visit coincides with the upcoming launch of our ‘Best Ever’ range, which will be introduced to the public very soon. We’re extremely excited about our new recipes and we are thrilled that Justin has been able to get a sneak preview of our new range before it goes into Sainsbury’s stores.”
