Contaminated meat warning
Meat traders in Cumbria are being warned about the risk of buying contaminated meat after a number of sheep were stolen from a field.
Eight ewes and 40 Texel lambs were stolen near Frizington, west Cumbria, after being given a treatment which means their meat cannot enter the food chain for 72 days and could cause sickness if eaten.
Cumbria Police said the animals were taken sometime between Friday evening and Monday lunchtime.
