Crabbie's adds beer

 - Published:  01 July, 2009

Ginger beer has always enjoyed a gentle image of picnics in the countryside with the Famous Five or the Secret Seven - or some other gang denoted by a number.

Now, the Crabbie's brand, which is famous for its Green Ginger Wine, is aiming to innovate the market with Crabbie's Alcoholic Ginger Beer.

This cool, refreshing drink can be served with ice and a slice of lemon and is made using a recipe of four secret ingredients as well as 'steeped ginger', which is said to give the drink its sparkle, crispness and gingery flavour. It can be consumed as both a daytime leisure drink and an evening drink and draws on the heritage of the brand dating back to 1801.
