John Ellison of Ellisons Butchers in Bradford won a prize for his traditional pork sausage at last year's Champion of Champions. John chats about what else he sells in the shop.

"We sell jars of things such as jam and lemon curd. We have recently got our own labels on them, which, unbelievably, has meant they've sold more, just because it is now our own branding.

"We also have different pickles from Farmhouse Products in Cheshire and these have increased profits. Half the shop is a sandwich shop and we sell hot and cold sandwiches, which are freshly made, and there are also drinks in a fridge."

Good sellers for John include cold bacon and ham.
