The van that can

In what is believed to be a first in the refrigerated van market, Yorkshire company The Cold Consortium has devised a meat rail system and meat hoist, which fit inside a panel van.

The system is available for the Mercedes Benz Sprinter and the Volkswagen Crafter ranges of high-roof panel vans.

The meat hoist has been developed after consultations with customers operating meat rail conversions and the company has produced a light-weight, meat hoist married up to Pommier Furgocar low-profile 'C' rails. The construction is entirely aluminium and is said to keep the impact on payloads to a minimum.
