Slicing made much quicker
Machinery manufacturer Interfood Technology has launched a new high-speed slicer from Weber onto the UK market, which can be used for sausages and ham.
The Weber 905 features a wide cutting throat and a speed of up to 2,000 slices per minute. It can slice six 100mm logs or four 135mm cooked hams simultaneously.
Interfood said that exact portion weights are achieved through a unique six-track check-weigher. Working with the Weber Food Robot, the portions can then be automatically loaded into a packaging machine.
The high-capacity slicer can be loaded with sausage or products up to 3,200mm in length, while logs, as well as sensitive or difficult-shaped products, can be fed automatically side by side or separated.
Other features include a movable idle cut head, which assists in maintaining high yield and minimum give-away. The fully adjustable blade head housing and shear bar enable the Weber slicer 905 to continuously cut slices without wedges, tear-offs or feathering, even if the blade is in intensive operation, said the firm.
