Striking gold with snack market

Sausage duo Debbie & Andrew have said they are looking to seize an opportunity in the pre-cooked sausage market with the launch of ’15 Perfect Little Pork Sausages’.

The new ready-to-eat snack consists of a pot of mini cooked sausages is said to be made from the same high quality lean shoulder pork and wholesome ingredients as the rest of Debbie & Andrew’s core range.

Andrew Keeble said: “This diversification into another new market sector comes in our 10th anniversary year and at a time when our business is on track to increase from zero to £20m by 2012. It comes hot on the heels of our move into pre-cooked pies, a result of our exclusive partnership with Diageo to make a food range infused with Guinness beer.”

The new product is said to be inspired by the company’s uncooked Perfect Pork sausages and the Perfect Little Pork sausages have been developed to cater perfectly for the picnic and lunch box market.

Keeble added: “Growth into new markets is in line with our plans to de-localise the Debbie & Andrew’s brand from its regional heartland, whilst still maintaining the core values that we have become famous for.”
