New appointment at HCC
Hybu Cig Cymru - Meat Promotion Wales (HCC) has appointed a new technology transfer officer to help the Welsh beef and lamb farming sector.
Dylan Jones, 25, has joined HCC from BOCM Pauls where he has spent two years as an account manager.
HCC industry development manager Siôn Aron Jones, said: “I am very pleased that Dylan is joining HCC.
He brings with him a wide variety of experience and will be an important asset for HCC and the beef and sheep producers in Wales.”
Jones, who is a Welsh speaker, has a degree in Animal Science from Aberystwyth University and won the prestigious Dr Richard Phillips Memorial Award while studying at university.
He grew up on a sheep and cattle farm near Carmarthen and has also worked for Cogent Breeding and is the current vice-chairman of the Young Farmers Club’s Wales Rural Affairs Committee.
Jones said: “I can’t wait to get started. This is a great opportunity for me to work with farmers to help improve their businesses and make them more sustainable for the future.”
