Designing a profit

A leading supplier of point-of-sale material to butchers and delis has said its clients have seen their sales rise due to new marketing packages.

Printing company Design X-press, which provides ticketing, POS, labels and posters for retailers, has worked with a number of big-name butchers and said it has received fantastic feedback from the clients.

Martin Brereton, of 2008 Butcher's Shop of the Year Bexleys, said: "The impact that Design X-press has made has been phenomenal. The cost incurred was money well spent; it lifted our profile and increased our takings. Assisting us in optimising on our recent Butcher's Shop of the Year award, it also provided all the marketing material for our new busy shop in Huyton."

Design X-press MD Juliette Middlebrough added that the company can make a real difference to the appearance and performance of a shop just by adding some effective professional point-of-sale.

A rebranding programme for Crawshaws Butchers' recent expansion in Yorkshire, led by Design X-press, was said to have lifted sales figures considerably. "The Design X-press service means we no longer need to worry about tickets and posters arriving in good time - an essential resource when rebranding," said MD Kevin Boyd.
