All the way from Palestine comes Zaytoun's Fairtrade organic olive oil, launched in the UK during Fairtrade Fortnight 2009 at the end of Febuary.
With the launch of this product in the UK, Zaytoun is offering small-scale farmers, often working under extreme conditions, not only a fair price and a chance to expand and improve their production, but also an opportunity to sustain a livelihood with dignity and security. The Zaytoun Fairtrade Olive Oil retails at around £7.99 per 500ml bottle and the firm says it creates international links through trade rather than aid.
