Dutch chefs at Highland Show
Scotch Premier Meat customer Chateaubriand, based in Utrecht, Holland, has arranged to take 90 top chefs from Holland to visit the Royal Highland Show at Ingliston later this month.
Chateaubriand’s Dirk Huisman visited Scotch Premier Meat’s Inverurie base earlier this year and has been supplying chefs across Holland with the company’s meat. The show offers a ‘shop window’ for Scottish produce and is an excellent venue for a chef to see what is on offer.
Huisman contacted Raymond Wight, managing director of Scotch Premier Meat and they have organised a trip to the show for the chefs to show them the wealth of excellent Scottish produce on offer.
Wight said: “After experiencing the quality of meat Scotland can offer, the chefs are now keen to sample what else Scotland can offer, as well as finding out more about where their meat comes from. We look forward to showing them the best of Scottish produce and hopefully we can build new trade between Scotland and mainland Europe."
