British beef attracts Korean cameras

 - Published:  10 June, 2009

UK beef production is the subject of a new Korean documentary filmed at British farms.

A film crew from Seoul recently spent time filming here as part of a series of documentaries being produced by EBS, the country’s Education Broadcasting System, focusing on beef production throughout the world.

EBLEX helped set up the schedule, which included a visit to Bicester in Oxfordshire where farmer Peter Surman talked about current trends in the sector and gave a tour of the farm.

Mark Topliff, EBLEX economic and policy manager, said: “They import a lot of meat from other countries, such as Australia and the US. We hope that, by helping with educational programmes like this, we could be paving the way for future trade.”

The series is due to be screened in Korea in July.
