Service boost for WHMC
An organic meat delivery business said it has boosted customer service levels since changing its next-day parcel delivery service to an online system.
The Well Hung Meat Company, based in Buckfastleigh, Devon, is now working alongside the APC Overnight network to assist it with sending its chilled boxes of meat and other organic produce throughout the UK.
Well Hung Meat manager Simon Wood said: "Since changing to the APC Overnight service, we have had fewer non-deliveries, received fewer complaints from customers and lost fewer boxes in transit. It also saves us about 2% on our distribution costs per year - a significant reduction. The parcel network suits our next-day delivery needs."
Well Hung Meat sources its meat from small, local organic farms in South Devon. It uses the APC Overnight supplied NetDespatch online booking and tracking system, allowing it to enter precise customer requirements for each delivery, as well as specify timed deliveries.
