Blue is the colour
|
Made on the Bell family farm in Thirsk, Shepherd's Purse Cheeses are the first cheeses made in Yorkshire since their disappearance from the county in the 1960s, due to rationalisation in the dairy industry.
The Byland Blue is a traditional English-style blue cheese, produced with Yorkshire cow's milk. Firm in texture with a delicate mottling of blue veining, it has a sweet, tangy, nutty flavour. The Byland Blue is available in 1.5kg cheeses and a 125g pre-pack.
