Roberts launch retail sausage

A leading foodservice supplier is hoping for success in the retail arena with the launch of a new sausage offer. Roberts of Port Dinorwic, a recipe dish manufacturer, has launched its renowned own-brand Traditional Pork Sausage.

Made from Roberts’ award winning pork sausage recipe, the sausage won the BPEX Foodservice Best Pub Pork Sausage Award. This is the first time the company has launched a retail version of its own-brand traditional pork sausages.

Miriam Williams, trading director at Roberts, said: “By developing our own retail brand of Traditional Pork Sausages we can offer the highest quality at competitive prices. Consumers are buying on price, but are not compromising on quality, which means we have to find new ways of meeting their demands. We have a great reputation among our customers and now is the time to extend that reputation directly to consumers.”
