Worms at work

 - Published:  03 April, 2009

For the first time at Anuga, Seydelmann displayed its AU 200 S automatic grinder, which can process both fresh and frozen meat.

With a funnel content of 500l, the unit can grind up to six tonnes of fresh meat an hour, using perforated discs measuring between 3-5mm. For frozen blocks of meat measuring no more than 600x400x150cm, the unit can mince up to two tonnes an hour using perforated discs larger than 5mm.

The grinder features a six-speed working worm, said to be steplessly pre-adjustable, to guarantee the best possible cut-image and a uniform granulation. A four-speed feeding worm has a special crusher and conveying paddles to ensure even large pieces of meat as well as frozen meat blocks are fed safely into the working worm without bridging.
