New Recruit for Quality Standard Scheme
Marks & Spencer has become the latest multiple to join the EBLEX Quality Standard Scheme for beef and lamb.
Since its launch three years ago, the EBLEX Quality Standard scheme has firmly established itself as the UK's leading beef and lamb quality assurance scheme. Twelve multiple retailers are now Quality Standard Scheme members.
EBLEX head of marketing Andrew Garvey said: "The Quality Standard Scheme has quickly established itself in the minds of consumers, the majority of whom recognise the Quality Standard Mark (QSM) brand. Our research shows that four out of five consumers agree that the QSM guarantees quality beef and lamb."
The 2,700 members of the Quality Standard Scheme use the QSM brand in a variety of different ways to complement their ongoing beef and lamb promotional activities.
Membership ranges from major retailers and independent retail butchers through wholesalers and processors to pub and restaurant chains and now includes an increasing number of farm shops.
