SuperMeat underway
With more than 10 years of success under its belt, the prestigious SuperMeat & Fish Awards 2009 are shaping up to be as strong as ever.
Celebrating a decade of excellence, the event is firmly established as the premier meat industry awards. Supermarkets and food producers will all be hoping for success for their stores and products.
Companies looking to enter their products need to get their entries in by 27 February to be in with a chance of taking home a top accolade. The prestigious awards, which take place at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London, on 3 July, are the only awards dedicated to celebrating excellence in supermarket retailing of meat and fish products. Both stores and products will be evaluated in the competition, with one retailer eventually being declared the overall SuperMeat Retailer of the Year.
Taking part in this year's competition are Asda, Sainsbury's, Tesco, The Co-operative Group and Marks & Spencer.
Sponsors on board include EBLEX, HCC - Meat Promotion Wales and BPEX.
This year's awards will again see an overall winner declared from among the competing supermarkets, as well as the return of our popular Head Office Initiative of the Year and Meat Personality of the Year. New categories have also been introduced, including Best Sustainable Product and Best Value Product.
For entry to the awards, contact Helen Law on 01293 846587 or email her on Helen.law@william-reed.co.uk.
For table bookings for the event, contact Elizabeth Ellis on 01293 846593, or email her on elizabeth.ellis@william-reed.co.uk.
