Advance AHDB party moves to Stoneleigh
The advance party of the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) has moved to Stoneleigh in Warwickshire with the rest of the organisation following over the next few months.
AHDB has moved its Group Headquarters out of London into temporary offices at Stoneleigh Park.
AHDB will be renting three buildings from the Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE) on the Showground as temporary offices until purpose-built offices are completed in late 2010.
The AHDB chief executive and his transition team moved into "Block 43", the former AMC building in February 2009.
The Milverton Suite (former HSBC pavilion) will be occupied in April and the bulk of staff will be relocating in June and July to the current RASE headquarters building following RASE's move to the refurbished Eastwood building.
Scheduled move periods will see shared operations, including finance and business services, HR and corporate services moving in April 2009, HGCA, DairyCo and HDC sector teams moving in the second half of June and Eblex, Bpex and the Potato Council moving across in the second half of July.
AHDB Chief Executive Kevin Roberts said: "I'm pleased to be in Stoneleigh, it's a tangible indication that we have moved out of the planning stage and into the implementation phase.
"Our first year has been taken up with the twin priorities of delivering our six sector business plans without undue interruption, while also putting in place the infrastructure and processes to be able to efficiently relocate the levy board and fully populate the operational structure."
The new postal address is Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board, Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, CV8 2TL.
