A royal visit
An award-winning meat trading company has been treated to a royal visit.
Jeffrey Davies & Davies, recipients in 2006 of The Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade, were "privileged and delighted" to welcome His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent to their premises recently.
With meat trading activities including preparation, distribution, import and export, the firm is one of only two UK meat companies to have received the prestigious award during the past 30 years.
Established in 1977, Jeffrey Davies & Davies operates a meat-processing factory alongside a cold store at Dunton Green, Kent. After a presentation of the companies activities, the Duke of Kent was given a tour of the factory.
