Chocolate jerky anyone?
A chocolate company is hoping for success with the launch of a new line of chocolate beef jerky.
The maker of Chocolate Grilling Rubs, Diva Chocolates, has developed two chocolate beef jerky flavours: Kickin' Cocoa Bean Beef Jerkey and Mocha Java Beef Jerky.
"Unusual, we know. But that's what we aim for," said company co-founder Julie Berlin. "Our goal is to bring chocolate out of realm of dessert, combine it with interesting ingredients and serve it up for dinner ... or in the case of our jerky ... a healthy snack.
Berlin added. "We have customers who will see us at a show, buy a bag of our jerky, and then not get 100 feet from our stand before they return for more. It's addictive."
