Last call for SuperMeat

Now is your chance to gain that recognition by entering the Meat Trade Journal's SuperMeat & Fish Awards 2008, but time is running out.

Food producers and manufacturers must get their products entered by this Wednesday, 13 January, or miss out on the chance of taking home one the top awards for the sector.

The prestigious awards, which take place at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London, on 3 July, gives the industry the opportunity to celebrate the best in supermarket retailing of meat and fish products.

Both stores and products will be evaluated in the competition, with one retailer eventually being declared the overall SuperMeat Retailer of the Year. Taking part in this year's competition are Asda, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Waitrose, Somerfield, The Co-operative Group and Marks & Spencer.

Further sponsors have now signed on EBLEX, HCC - Meat Promotion Wales and the Danish Bacon & Meat Council, joining our existing sponsors, BPEX, Bord Bia and the Vion Food Group.
