Allergy alert over Morrisons ham
Morrisons has withdrawn some of its own-brand dry cured Carvery Breaded Ham (250g) because it contains wheat flour
, which is not mentioned on the back of the pack label, although the front of pack label is correct. This means the product could be unsafe for people intolerant or allergic to wheat gluten. The Food Standards Agency has issued an allergy alert.
Anyone intolerant or allergic to wheat gluten is advised not to eat this product.
Morrisons has withdrawn all the affected stock from sale and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their members of the withdrawal. Notices are being displayed in affected stores explaining why the product has been withdrawn and how customers can get a full refund if they have bought the product.
No other Morrisons products are known to be affected.
