Speed with control for slaughterhouses
Sum-It Computer Systems has launched its latest version of Abattoir Control software for medium to small slaughterhouses requiring more efficient traceability systems to assist gaining their Over Thirty Month Cattle Slaughter license.
The system is primarily designed to minimise the need to input any data manually as 98 per cent of input is via a Bar Code Scanner. Sum-IT claims that this reduces typing errors to virtually nothing and also speeds up the recording of the information.
The Abattoir Control program me will handle all cattle identification details from initial arrival at the Lairage (before the animal is off-loaded), through the kill process (kill date/time & number) right through to carcase-bonding control. The movement records are then emailed direct from the software to BCMS and any OTM Sample ID data is emailed to the Brain-stem Testing Laboratories.
