Tesco continues its relentless growth

Tesco, the UK's biggest supermarket group, has again bumped up its share of the UK grocery market

from 30.8% to 31.1% for the 12-weeks to 21 May according to TNS. Asda remaiins in the No. 2 position with 16.4% but

Sainsbury's is snapping at its heels with 16%. A year ago, Sainsbury's was firmly in third place with 15.8% against Asda's 16.4%. Wm Morrison continues to slide with an 11.3% market share against 11.9% a year ago.
