Strike threat for Iceland

 - Published:  06 December, 2006

Frozen food chain Iceland could be facing a Christmas freeze out according to union bosses who have warned of a strike by warehouse staff.

Supplies to the retailers branched in the south-east of England could be hit in a strike over pay after staff at a north-London depot rejected a 2.4% pay rise. A series of one and two-day strikes are now being planned to start on 8 December.

The depot, in Enfield, delivers to around 180 Iceland in London, the south east and East Anglia.
