Ready, Steady, Cook!
Celebrity butcher John Mettrick will be appearing at the BBC Good Food Show in Birmingham this Saturday for a live performance of Ready Steady Cook.
John is no stranger to the limelight, having already appeared on Ready Steady Cook as well as the Anthony Cotton Show, Saturday Cooks and Kill it, Cook it, Eat it.
"Endemol, the production company that make Ready Steady Cook, said that they liked the programme we did and asked us to bring some meat down for the Good Food Show," said John.
"We are going to take down some beef skirt and some of our own label high peak lamb for the chefs to cook."
The show will not be televised but 2,500 people are expected to attend the NEC on Saturday.
The BBC Good Food Show is the biggest event of its kind in the UK and will showcase the culinary skills of Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay and Rick Stein as well as Mettrick's meat.
